Basic Eligibility for Engineering Entrance Exams 2023

For UG exams

  • The candidates must have cleared the class 12th or equivalent exam from a recognized board or university.

  • The candidates should have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in class 12th or equivalent exam. However, certain exceptions are possible like for B.Tech in Biotechnology, the candidates who have studied Biology instead of Mathematics are also applicable.

For PG exams

  • For admissions in postgraduate courses in engineering, it is necessary for the candidates to hold an undergraduate engineering degree in the relevant stream.

Note: Due to presence of certain exceptions, it is also suggested to ensure the program-wise eligibility criteria for engineering courses.

JEE Main (Joint Entrance Examination Main)

JEE Main is conducted to screen potential candidates for admission into BE/B.Tech (via Paper 1) and B.Arch/B.Planning (via Paper 2). Clearing this exam provides the applicants to get enrolled into reputed organizations and is also an eligibility test to appear for JEE Advanced.

JEE Advanced (Joint Entrance Examination Advanced)

APIIT NAT (National Aptitude Test)

KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test)

UPCET (Uttar Pradesh Common Entrance Test )
