Basic Eligibility for Engineering Entrance Exams 2023

For UG exams
The candidates must have cleared the class 12th or equivalent exam from a recognized board or university.
The candidates should have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in class 12th or equivalent exam. However, certain exceptions are possible like for B.Tech in Biotechnology, the candidates who have studied Biology instead of Mathematics are also applicable.
For PG exams
For admissions in postgraduate courses in engineering, it is necessary for the candidates to hold an undergraduate engineering degree in the relevant stream.
Note: Due to presence of certain exceptions, it is also suggested to ensure the program-wise eligibility criteria for engineering courses.

JEE Main (Joint Entrance Examination Main)
JEE Main is conducted to screen potential candidates for admission into BE/B.Tech (via Paper 1) and B.Arch/B.Planning (via Paper 2). Clearing this exam provides the applicants to get enrolled into reputed organizations and is also an eligibility test to appear for JEE Advanced.
JEE Advanced (Joint Entrance Examination Advanced)
The candidates who clear the JEE Main can appear for JEE Advanced for admissions in IITs, and ISM. The candidates who clear the Main exam needs to register for the Advanced exam too.
APIIT NAT (National Aptitude Test)
The Asia Pacific Institute of Information Technology will conduct the NAT for admissions into engineering program. Those who wish to appear for the test can fill the application form in the month of October.
NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture)
NATA conducted by Council of Architecture provides the candidates admissions in 5-year architecture course. The applicants hoping a bright in architectural field can appear for this aptitude test.
SAAT (Siksha O Anusandhan University Admission Test)
SAAT is a national-level entrance exam conducted to provide the candidates admission in engineering undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The selected students are enrolled in different constituent institutes / schools of Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan.

KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test)
KEA is the organizing body for the KCET, a state-level engineering entrance exam to grant the candidates enrollment in engineering, pharmacy and other related courses.
MHT CET (Maharashtra’s Common Entrance Test)
MHT CET is conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education to offer degree courses in the field of engineering and pharmacy. The test is conducted in offline mode in the most of May (tentatively).
TNEA (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions)
TNEA admissions program organized by Anna University offers admissions into engineering programmes on the basis of marks scored in class 12th examination.
COMEDK (Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka)
The Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental of Karnataka conduct UGET to select the potential candidates for admissions in around 190 engineering colleges. The mode of the examination is online and applicants can apply for the exam too in online mode.
UPCET (Uttar Pradesh Common Entrance Test )
The National Testing Agency organizes the UPCET to provide admissions in various engineering, management, pharmacy, etc courses. The application form for the same is made available in the month of January and interested applicants can submit their form online.
AP EAMCET (Engineering, Agriculture and Medicine Common Entrance Test)
JNTUK, Kakinada is the conducting authority that organizes AP EAMCET providing admissions in undergraduate engineering courses. The applicants can apply for the exam in the month of February.
KEAM (Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical Examination)

OJEE (Odisha Joint Entrance Examination)
